Cheerful, airy and elegant – that was the heart of the client brief for Blue-Be-Do house. A minimal, restrained palette of light wood textures and pale colours punctuated by deep blue and moody greys sweeps across all the spaces.
The heroes of each space were defined and the ensemble cast of patterns and materials followed. The blue bookcase of things which doubles as a study desk for the littles, the Jekyll and Hyde bathroom suite and the geometric kitchen and dining bar - bright, light and each nook and corner packed with functionality.
We reused all the wooden doors to make long custom handles and inserts, bits and bobs of things which needed detail and hand picked every element, fittings, fixture and tile. The end result is one where all the members of the family, from the youngest to the oldest, use and experience the house differently and fully.
